Honestly, I think Sacha Baron Cohen looks way more like Freddie Mercury than Rami Malek does. I was really excited to see Sacha take on the role when the project was announced back in 2010, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

In 2011, Queen guitarist Brian May said he approved of Baron Cohen as Mercury but also had some concerns about the film's direction. In 2013, Baron Cohen left the project over creative differences. He wanted a "gritty R-rated tell-all" and the band wanted a more PG biopic.
