Dinklage and Schmidt eloped in Las Vegas in 2005. Dinklage always expresses support for his wife, who is a talented playwright and theatre director in her own right. He once said, "She's very inspiring. She's definitely the artist of the family. I am just the TV actor who pays the bills." The couple has two children, born in 2011 and 2017.
